Between Mails( To comprehend these mails you need to read the post just below this )

MY REPLY TO THE MAIL I RECEIVED (in a bid to make my stand clear)

Respected Sir

I appreciate your concern and fully empathize with your feelings. But
i still feel i have failed to make myself clear to you. So in an
endeavour to make myself crystal clear to everyone who reads the mail
i would like to bring some points to your kind notice which possibly
miffed you up.

1) ' Proactive ' : It is an interesting word which could be
manipulated in any damn manner. The meaning which i wanted refer to
was being extra-cautious and chart up a plan to deter any such future
acts. Anywez i m sending you the link which might disabuse of any such
impression http://www.wikihow.com/Be-Proactive

2) 'Islamophobia' : Sir i am very sorry to say but this word has been
ur own brainchild. I never brought any religion into my mail. It's
just you interpreted in that manner. Infact one of my best friends
happen to be a Muslim. I am a strong proponent of the idea that
terrorists have no religion. What i believe in is humanity and not in
religion.

3) 'Incendiary' : You got me wrong again sir. To me any thing which
arouses the nationalistic fervour n fans the fire in you is
incendiary. Be it Atal ji's poems or Lata ji's 'Aye Mere Watan Ke
Logo'

4) Sir i am fully aware of the dwindling Police to Citizen Ratio. But i
still feel that politicians can do a lot more than just getting
engrossed in a political struggle or making commiserative remarks. I
am sure you would agree to this.

I just hope through this mail i was able to make myself clear to one
and all ....
And i would request you all that please try and sensitize yourself
with the feelings behind it instead of dwelling on the flaws ( if any)

Thanking You
Yash Vardhan
An Indian

MAIL I RECEIVED

I don't agree with all this nonsense. If I start doing what this mail says("being proactive"), then I should report the guy who wrote this mail to the police and book him for writing incendiary stuff to destabilize a government.

Knee jerk reactions are exactly what these terrorists want. They want us to fight amongst ourselves, fight our system in general, cause confusion and chaos and eventually succeed in their motive - Terrorize us! They want us to act all agitated and panicky and start doing things that a person in a sane mind wouldn't do. If we "turn proactive" and start bitching about each other, then buddy - we're finished!

I agree that the ruling government hasn't been "ruthlessly aggressive" on terrorism in general. But pursuing this will result naturally in suspicion falling on all Islam related activities(After all the govt that you planning to vote won't suspect "its own" people will it? Can't you see the divisions already - them and us).

We will only encourage this fire called "Islamophobia" to destroy the excellent bond with Muslims that we (as Indians) have. This is a time for unity beyond all political lines and a time to stand for humanity. Can't you already sense the laughter that these terrorists would be having seeing us pointing fingers at each other? So for heaven's sake, make these propaganda mails and forward them to the entire world only after thinking twice of what exactly you are passing! The timing for such a mail shows immaturity to an extent which is shameful for any Indian!!

WOH MAARTE RAHENGE ...TUM MARTE RAHO !!!!!!!!!

Do one thing .... Pick up a red ant. And try to kill it. I am sure it would meet its end in a sec but at least would give you a sting. That sting embodies its revenge . Its' zest to live. Its' last-stand. Its' fight.

When even an ant can fight ...If even it doest give up so easily....If even it knows how to enforce its right to live .... Then why the hell don't we .....

I know this material might be incendiary. But yes isn't the fire already burning so ...so flagrantly ...
Please, please don't give in ....please don't succumb to your fate.....

It is we who are losing our lives. We are the victims and not those in power who very easily give their condolences and assurances after the blasts.

What i suggest all of you stupid ( yes we are stupid) common people that please be proactive and very alert. If you find any suspicious activity taking place please stop that bastard
( pardon my language )...inform the police. Elect the government which isn't such a coward to implement POTA .... Please change India ......Please.....

We still remember the WTC or the attack on Britain very vividly. In Britain only 26 died . And WTC was one of the only terrorist attack on America in last decade. Still it became a global issue.
Are we Indians are meant to be killed like this..... Why don't we implement stringent laws.
Why ???????????????????? Infact even we have stopped caring ." Arey! yeh to aam baat hai "
Everyone says this.......Please i urge you all to change India .....For this change ministry ...elect a proper government ...please step forward...it's your country and your home and an intruder is killing you in your own home .....Blasphemy !!!!

Yaar nobody has the right to kill you ......Nobody can become GOD !!!!

KOI SUN RAHA HAI KYA ???

This is the question a common man rhetorically asks to himself , to his soul and yes to some deaf who unfortunately are in power….

“ Ho sakta hai yeh koi sochi samjhi saadish ka nateeza hai “ quipped Advani after brazen carried out blasts.

“We request the state to maintain peace and harmony in time of distress” said another hotshot politico…

P.M. considered it to be a bit too infra-dig to comment upon it.

I was waiting to hear it , the wait carried on and on . In a bid to hear it I had to tolerate the soporific power of some of these speeches.

Finally, even after skimming through the reactions of almost all politicians, I couldn’t find it…..

Maybe I expected a bit too much from our politicians. What I expected from them was at least a word to the perpetrators, a speech spitting venom and vengeance, and a formidable action plan to ward off such heinous crimes .

Although Narendra Modi said “ Perpetrators will be exhumed and will be strictly dealt with “. But is it enough ?? He didn’t even adumbrate his plan ( if at all ).

My ears yearned for more and instead what I got was some commiserative remarks ……

My brain longed for a solution and what it chugged out is a set of confounding questions.

What has INDIA become ???

Has it been relegated to “ A Soft- Target “ ??

Can Terrorists strike at will with impunity ??

Will INDIA implode ?

Who will come to our rescue when our “honorable” leaders are too busy either in basking in their victory or brooding over the defeat in Confidence motion ???
Yeah the next question inevitably is :

Who will mourn over the loss of a common man ?

"Kiski Mumbai .......... Mr. Thackrey ? "

While gulping down the coffee yesterday evening i was wondering what would have had been the plight of Britishers if Mr. Raj Thackrey would have been in power during pre-indepence era. Well one thing is for sure they would have certainly left out Mumbai ,if not India, much earlier than they actually did........

And why not ? Till the time we have such a 'great visionary' like Mr. Thackrey everything is possible......

Letter to him (psst......)

Mr. Thackrey i fully support what you are doing. So what if it could actually snowball into a very serious issue. So what if it could actually break India into 28 separate Indias. So what if it could cause widespread riots, sanguinary battles, political tussles. So what if lakhs of people lose their lives in such riots. Your resolve is the foremost and is much more important !!!!

Sir i want to ask you a few questions....( Thanks to the RTI act)

Why are you doing this ? Aren't Mumbaikars living in other parts of India ? Or isn't Non- Maharashtrians (who are residing in Mumbai) paying the taxes? Aren't they contributing to the development of the City by paying the taxes?

Sir when we treat every religion as 1 .... Then why cant we perceive every person as Indian...

Sir there are many more important issues concerning the nation......My humble request to you is please don't push this issue further...... It could actually turn out to be our nemesis..... India's nemesis......

And if you are bent upon showing your clout......then why don't you shout the slogan.....
' Save Yamuna' or 'Save Ganga' . Given your amazing leadership and management qualities, i am sure you would be able to actually purge out all the effluents from Yamuna or Ganga.........

Thank you....
Yours Truly
Indian

Tête-à-tête with Tipri

I along with my 7 friends went to Tipri, near Tehri to attend the wedding of our friend’s relative. His native village is Tipri. Tipri, a veritable microcosm of rural India, nestled along the Tehri Dam and precariously situated on the mountains. Enshrouded by the mountains it exudes panache and is a nature lover’s delight It is also an ambient place for those city-dwellers who are enervated by the drudgery of their lives. It faces the reservoir, purportedly touted as the India’s largest man-made lake.

When we reached over there at the friend’s house, we received a warm welcome despite of missing up the soiree. Then we were ushered to a room where we were introduced to many of his relatives. Some of them blessed us and tousled our hair. After finishing the sumptuous food we pranced on some Garhwali songs.

Next day, we attended the marriage, a quintessential Garhwali marriage. It offered all the mirth of a city marriage and yet conformed to the indigenous traditions. Next day we ambled out of the house and drove away leaving behind lachrymose faces and tear-filled eyes looking in our direction. In a nutshell, it was a great, salubrious journey. And the most remarkable thing about Tipri is that the artificiality of city life hasn’t percolated down there as yet.

Call me 'Maa ki' not 'Monkey'

Indian cricket recently witnessed an ugliest phase which left everyone scalded ( as though). Indian offie Bhajji was the cynosure as he was implicated in a case which was unprecedented in India. Usually India was the 'victim' to this double-edged sword (racism) but this time India was on the other side of rope as they were being castigated and dubbed as racists (by aussies ofcourse).
It was predicted to have some ever-lasting fallouts . And mind you this was no storm in a teacup.
As Bhajji hogged the limelight, everything else took a backseat. The issue was immortalised by media. With heavy remarks being hurtled out by the media correspondents from both sides the issue never lost the gravity. Battle- lines were drawn. Board of both the nations in a bid to vindicate their players were ready to go to any lengths. Media was behaving querulously. A country's reputation was at stake. Conditions looked ominous. A new world war in cricket was at the corner. (to be continued)

Can we ever break it ?

Today while relishing the scrumptious food at Haldiram in PVR spice, I saw a man who was swabbing the floor. He looked at me and the food on which i was gorging upon. He looked famish. His eyes belied his hunger. I wanted to buy a thali for him. Bud didn't dare to utter a word . WHAT HELD ME BACK ? It's not that i am frugal. Neither am i too mean. I feel that . But still I felt that some invisible shackles have been tied around my legs. Well I feel these are all made by the society. I thought i would be looked upon as a fool or chicken- hearted. Some might have even considered it as hypocrisy . Can I ever break this shackle ? Infact I ask you all
CAN WE EVER BREAK IT ??????
